A violent early-morning attack in a Parkland convenience store parking lot has left a man and his dog seriously injured and raised renewed concerns among local residents about safety in the area. The incident unfolded shortly before dawn on a Sunday, when Eddie Nitschke, who had been living out of his car with his girlfriend and their two dogs, was confronted by a stranger whose questioning escalated into a brutal stabbing.
