Initially taken to Sigatoka Hospital for emergency treatment, the individuals were later transferred to Lautoka Hospital for further care. While some patients were reported to be seriously ill initially, their condition has since improved, with several expected to be discharged.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) reported that another Australian woman, aged 56, remained under medical surveillance, while a 19-year-old woman experienced serious medical episodes during the ordeal.
